Blues Turn to Green

In the yellows which simmer in your mind
When color starts to fade from view in a kind
Of moire - as fabric you have made becomes torn
And ripples across the horizon causing waves to form

Blue turns to green and the aquamarine life bubbles
Then I sense the longing in your heart becomes trouble
For you have changed the colors of the branches' leaves
And as I focus my lens on your heart ... there is a breeze

As leaves fall after turning yellow or red and then brown
My life turns on thoughts which you send to me around
The beauty within you - it blends in so well with the fall
As I gaze out the window watching those trees so tall

Blending in their greens, yellows and browns with blue
Knowing well those colors which represent me and you
The brown of your full eyes gaze back at me so intently
As yellow leaves amass outside in driveway and gently

I consider the art and passion expended loving your body
So many fall colors are exhibited without anything shoddy
The completeness with which you love me is indeed fine art
I'm astounded by how intense it all is ... my mind's eye smarts

For we're apart in a world in which we're so very close together
And the loving we share is intended to hold us close in a tether
Of rope burns which tear up and inflame our loins to the brink
As fluids flow so completely as they strengthen all of my ink

When we're apart ... all I can think of is the passion we expend
As we give ourselves so totally to each other - there is no end
Loving you invariably becomes such an absolute and total joy
There is sacrifices to be made, but when together - I'm your toy
