When initially becoming part of another's view

We gradually take the time to hear their blues

Hopefully, also hearing about their happy times

Warming our hearts, and making our minds climb



Once finding ourselves upon the very top rung

Then we have acquired enough not to be stung

For sharing of both the good times and the sad

Has given us solid ground, upon which we stand



As we reach out to hold and take their soul within

Becoming part of their needs, feeling their chagrin

Fielding all their disappointments with our heart ...

Making things better for both, initiating a new start
