In front of window panoramic
A robin bobs for worms, ecstatic
Seeing movement amongst leaves
Unseen by human eyes quite eased
As bird looks back through the glass
Intense feeling of uneasiness masked
By wonder, the robin can see its needs
So easily amongst all of the wet debris
Formed by water pushing leaves downhill
Where they take hold underneath the sill
Providing fertile ground for robin's prey
Which he does with abandonment today
And after pecking is seen the wiggling
Of bodies cut in half by bird's pigging
Making one realize expression's not apt
The one about the way birds eat snacks
When applied to people - implied in a way
Quite different than vision seen on this day
When saying someone eats just like a bird
It's actually an insult intended, but unheard
