In the past wars of Americans fought

The loss of relatives and friends taught
... Us lessons to remember on this day
There are no winners in war - to say ...

Regardless of what or where was crisis
The fact is, any lives lost only heightens
Sadness in our hearts on this observance
Reminding us fights only prolong a stance

So many situations can be talked through
All it takes is good communication to do
A thing each and everyone has within us
All we need do is use it daily without fuss

And then future Memorial Days will observe
Only lives lost in wars in times prior to purge
Before our nerves became shattered to learn
Of lost loved ones fought over past concerns
