Bushes pulled from corner house lot

To make way for fence in that spot

Begun in earnest some weeks ago

Started with posts driven far below



And finally now, one pair's crossed

With two tiers connecting to the top

Likely to be filled in with chicken wire

Or perhaps, left clear, to allow sires



To see between all of the wood slats 

And keep yard looking open, at that

A compromise of neat appearance ... 

And protection afforded by clearance
