Too much done, too little return

So few words, so many churns

At the gut - twisted and so tight

So few verses, not done right



Wanting it to be well-received

But now - heart, slowly, bleeds

Worn away from multi-rejections

Continuous, since the inception



And now - feathers are ruffled ...

As thoughts are carefully muffled

As concern over further submission

Overcomes need to be part of system
