After a fortnight's rain

The sun's come again

But, early this morning

Cold came at dawning



Way below normal for

This time of year, sure

So heat needed to be

Added to air, so chilly



Now, sun is a charm

Temperature's warm

And so, open window

Needed to be so low



Even as a breeze blows

And leaves turn yellow

In the brightness of rays

On this oh, so fine day ...
