An eerie mist arises from the lake again
Ony to establish credibility to those sane
For so many have lost loved ones in mist
Arising from life's darkness dealt in twists
Reasons for extinction are so very effuse
Cancer, heart attack, suicide, overdose, too
All causes of death to whose we loved ...
Now their souls are in another place, above
And the mist arises from a warm lake cooled
Reminding us life's a trip which sometimes fools
And things then turn on a dime as those still alive
Suddenly turn into other beings, from pain inside
For all of us are souls - whether here or beyond
And all souls deserve respect here and at ponds
From which those mists arise seeping into cool air
As souls clamor to be remembered here on earth
... and out there ....
