It's that time of year again

To do taxes, and to explain

How we've earned and spent

All our income in past year bent



And also - to pick up around house

All those leaves and sticks around

So grass can then grow unhindered

As we perplex about returns tendered



Making work both on ground and mind

The time of year when we need to find

A presence both of mind and out there

So then we can clear away past dares
