Just now passing the lake

Saw something to take ...

Me, by surprise ... swans

Turned quite upside down



Searching under water

Like (I guess) they gotta

For fish-food to swallow

In order to fill the hollow



In their overlarge bodies

So white, not at all shoddy

But looking rather absurd

In upside-down postures



Not at all as graceful ...

As they look when full

And glide across water

So proud, as they will 

               ... after ....
