Dog took off after neighbor's cat again
Almost got it, too, if I hadn't so strained
To yell at the top of voice for her to stop
Which she thankfully did, and then to trot
Up, to join me from halfway down the hill
Where yells had caught her, making still
Those fast and furious furry full legs of hers
Which as easily stop as go when is heard
Her master's voice - which is loud and clear
And sings through her ears and makes her fear
Not any harm that could conceivably come ...
But just the guilt, which will inevitably hum ...
