When dog's all over you, and mauling

Either she's upset, or is making a calling

Upon your attention, to tell you something

But communication lacks, for there's nothing



Spoken - if only they had that very capability

Then so much could be exchanged - sensibly

Instead of this guesswork which one goes thru

Trying to figure out why our pets are so blue



Walk's done, food and fresh water are down

And yet you sense something else makes frown

If only our pets could talk and tell us things ...

Then perhaps our internal bells would ring ...
