Sadness comes from very many places

Some of which our hearts embrace as
Feelings stirred deep within our minds
Touch nerves and so we share a kind

Of outpouring of vibes tapped from within
As words and deeds then do their thing
For we have been tickled by some lever
Then those tears turn on as we heave them

Sobbing uncontrollably and feeling morose
As waves of tears triggered so very close
To our own souls - the nucleus of self ...
The part of us which cannot be shelved

Forever ... as it is always there inside
And at times it seeps out, as we glide
Through life, pretending we're immune
When, in fact, all of it plays a quiet tune

And we store it all up without being aware
It's sitting in the cupboard, not at all bare
Then one day the door is opened quite wide
And all of it is exposed, we no longer can hide

So tears fall as the words or deeds have won
Then we feel like a fool for having been undone
But those outpourings of so very human emotion
Are a wonderful treat - a temporary soothing lotion
