Third day in a row around the block

There it sat looking sad at edge of lot
Only on this day a garbage bag was in
On top of neat sculpture near trash bins

So sure trespass then became imminent
For garbage bags on top showed intent
Thus removal of elephant was indicated
As, obviously, it had lost its appeal stated

Prior, in an earlier existence when adored
For this plant-stand had at one time adorned
A home where it had been enjoyed by many
But now had been put out to pasture, pending

Removal by one who saw its artistic merit
And so has adopted it so others can share it
With pride felt, for even tho cheap and ugly
The many uses will become apparent, utterly
