Maps which lay out roads in miniature proportions

Condense distances in such a way it creates distortion
And folks who then follow them right down to the tee
Become so hopelessly lost for they just cannot see

When some roads are so short they're gone in a flash
Because they were travelling so quickly they dashed
Past the signs which clearly state all the roads' names
Then they have to stop and ask, when they're to blame

All it takes to keep track of just where you are in a maze
Is a keen eye and patience - to keep from being in a daze
Then match each road on map carefully with one you're on
And eventually you'll come across the one where you belong
