The Lake Mist
This morning - a mist arose above the lake
Magnifying it - making it an erie scene to take
In ... all was closer and so very much bigger
Even the island in the center had its own trigger
Peering out over the entire scene filled with awe
Minds who looked could not believe what they saw
Even where there was absolutely no water surface
A mist hung over the lowlands seeping good grace
It was a spectacle indeed to be tasted and enjoyed
As I took it all in ... I became somewhat buoyed
The length, breadth, width and depth became a toy
With which I played in my mind as I savored the joy
But nothing it represented was as great in my mind
As the scope of your love - which is the only kind
Of mist I choose to remember from your huge lake
Which fills me so full of wonder, I'm yours to take
