When folks you meet hide their true identity

Then you wonder why - for there is plenty
Of good relationships formed based on truth
Regardless of how old or their state of youth

For people who open themselves up to you
Tend to be on surer footing than those who
Choose other paths in order to hide tracks
For they are always looking behind backs

If you want folks to accept who you are
Then you are so much better off by far
If you open up and explain yourself fully
For then you won't be tugging at pulleys

Trying to move weights from ends of rope
As you carry on the pretense and then hope
They don't stumble on the things you've hidden
Which'll always appear, for everything's written
