In old-time western movies it was as simple as that

The bad guys wore black, the nice ones - white hats
And as we evolved with films from this age-old premise
Things changed, and it was no longer - simple tennis

For pictures became muddied, badly-lit and clouded
As people lost track of good vs. bad, and films touted
The idea there was good in the bad, and bad in good
As our perceptions became muddled, caught in woods

Until now we have to accept there is nobody perfect
For, no matter what - there are personality conflicts
No single person can fit ideally into our life-scheme
Those who think there can be, are riding on a dream

But, never-the-less ... wonderful folks do abound
All it takes is patience to bring some ideas around
From complex scenarios derived from film of life
As we sort our values, and set up priorities to hype

Ambitions we have, which are clear and directed
Can soon alter course, as others bring perspective
And then the reality sinks in - there is more depth
To some, and so we open our minds to the test ...
