Shadows appear sometimes on walls

Echoes of fleeting images now stalled
Hovering over us with dark outlines
Filled out to edges, hiding sunshine

Speak to them as they hang on ledge
And voices reflect upon the dark wedge
Without response, for there is no substance
Just reflections of images, created by chance

Stand in a different place and it will move
As the mysterious image follows the groove
And as you place yourself at another angle
Shadow appears to be with others tangled

So walk away and when you return to point
The image has changed and has no joints
For a blending took place behind your back
And now that same shadow's changed
... from grey to black ....
