Hey, there!!! ... Pretty brunette in the hot pink tights

Your walk around block this morn was quite a sight
Where do you come from and where are you going
Is there any chance at all we can each get to knowing

The heart and mind which hide under exterior surfaces
Those two wonderful organs which provide all services
My two started beating faster each time you passed me
Why won't you tarry awhile and chat so we can see???

Hey, there!!! ... Pretty brunette in the hot pink tights
You passed me once going around the block to right
And then again as you came down hill around corner
As dog then rushed towards you wanting to be warmer

From your touch, as you bent down to pet her and smiled
And my heart skipped beats - for you have shared my miles
Speaking sweetly to me about knees and walks needed
Telling me where you are, amongst other things heeded

Hey, there!!! ... Pretty brunette in the hot pink tights
Please tarry longer so we can both get to see the light
Which shines in each other's eyes from our connection
And colors deeply in many hues each other's complexion

Please pause a while when next time we share paths
For your ravishing beauty has stirred well my heart
And the warmth you exuded at both simple exchanges
Has filled me wih longing which will last now for ages

Hey, there!!! ... Pretty brunette in the hot pink tights
Will you please get to know me one of these nights?
Or take time out from your walk one of these morns
And let's talk awhile and see what can be borne ...

Perhaps there is something else we have in common
Other than my heart aflutter and your walk now along
My street where you have chosen to circle the block
Passing twice as you traverse the opposite way in a lock

Upon emotions which make me tremble at your vision
For you're a very sweet picture in mind and now mission
Will be to chat with you very next time you pass my door
Just so we both know it's not a fluke, and so become sure

- Tristram
