George Washington and Lord Baden-Powell, founder of Scouts

Shared one thing in common - they were revered as all get-out
For they did marvelous things with their lives to be remembered
Forever, and will always be honored on this their birthday rendered

One for fathering a country by commanding an army in revolution
And the other by fathering a fantastic movement providing solutions
For boys and girls all over the world to unite with a common bond
To make life better for everyone no matter how weak or how strong

A common denominator which deserves much recognition on this day
For both shared idealistic visions, then proceeded to have their way
And so now we can look back with awe at their accomplishments
Remembering, and honoring them both with many compliments ...
