Some are encouraged to find themselves under lights

Which may make sense if your talent shines so bright

That all past experiences are glossed over, forgotten

For the person who shines with it - there's no stopping



And work they've done reveals so many hidden nuances

Which exemplifies current character makeup's chances

At being accepted for who and what they are now, today

Instead of other instances which premiered in a past age



Doing this, and thus accepting the right here and now

Shoving aside reflections of walls crumbled below

Allows the soul to shine through above the rumble

Which others do murmur as they toss and tumble



Trying to bite off parts of the hard outer skin glowing

Whilst they play their games and gather around showing

They have as much to offer from places where they stand 

When all they really have is a shadow - totally unplanned
