We all build walls around us to hem us in
For warmth, comfort, security - in order to win
The ongoing game of life with all its ins and outs
And as we pass through internal doors, give shouts
For we've won yet another round in the evolution
Of our lives, as we march on, finding new solutions
Cementing together stones in walls which've crumbled
Replacing stone slabs in walkways, so we don't tumble
Gluing back together doors and windows which've split
In two, from rounds of erosion, which sometimes came quick
Once all the repairs are done, we can see thru glass clear
Then we are able to touch up other broken walls, without fear
