A New Fire



Whatever has made you wax so poetic?

Are you just mad, or have you refound 

Feelings which used to make you ecstatic?

If so - then please no longer be house-bound



For no-longer reclusive strangers who still care 

Need to put hurt behind them and thence to dare

To place their hearts and minds with bodies to share

All they have and have ever been to each other as a pair



For when that goodness burns live and ever-so bright

The pain of the past hurt softens amidst this new light

And the flames which burnt with such heat and desire

Will re-ignite new life and passion will blaze in new fire
