Sights and Sounds
So many, many, messages do abound
On pages and banners as we look around
So much of it, it tends to muddle minds
And then we're totally lost in new finds
But if it wasn't all there meant to be seen
Then there'd be no reason for it to beam
At us from color screen and audio speakers
Barking at us orders to make us yet weaker
In our resolve not to partake of all the fare
Which presses us so as we blink and stare
But the real images and words which beckon
Are part of a larger whole made up of seconds
Counting down the time as we partake of it all
And as we continue - it becomes part of the call
To our minds to open up to share things both ways
As we get pulled in so deep, we cannot go away ...
