Groundhog Day's Here!!!



Another of those weird days has arrived

When media focus is on Phil, who thrives

In a little-known place in Pennsylvania

Decides if there's going to be more winter



By coming out of his little abode for a while

And then looks around at the air and shadows

Then either stays out, basking in the sunlight

Or returns quickly, just a little full of fright



If he stays out - winter's all over with for now

And so we can start work on gardens and mow

But if he turns and runs back into his little lair

Then we know another six weeks' winter's here



It always seems to me he always runs on back

Scared, as all those lights and cameras stacked 

One on top of the other all the way to the clouds

Who wouldn't run back with all that now showed?
