In the past, you have made my heart sizzle

But now, as the rain outside just drizzles
The rhythm which had kept me all aglow
Now has fallen behind, and heart slows

What was absolutely wonderful once ...
Now is a slight murmur in a stalled trance
And the beauty of a life together shared
Is not to be at all, for you have now dared

To stop the train barreling through the tunnel
As the bleakness of days without you pummels
And my heart's stopped the everlasting pining
For goodness we shared when you were minding
