Love shows itself in many ways

Some aren't quite so clear today

Sometimes it is overpowering

And fills with feelings flowing



But there are days filled with void

A feeling to make you annoyed ...

For if it exists at all, then it's shown

In a multitude of ways - not alone



But to some - it just means a few words

Of encouragement now and again heard

In words written hastily in a few notes

Just enough of them to make you gloat



At what it is you think you might be missing

If only you weren't on your own horse riding 

Cantering slowly, transforming to full gallop

As you spur yourself on - beyond the pallor
