Recording these numbers has been exhilarating

As it caused a completely new way of relating
Dealing with Trower, Hammond, Lang & Keb Mo
Really opened eyes to the much bigger show

Rock & Blues forever - etched in my mind's memory
United always in a spirit never again tossed lightly
Hearing the dynamics of studio work in high decibels
Made me see the loving care which went into skills

Honed and crafted upon works filled with devotion
Which will ring forever in my mind with new notions
About what it takes to produce music put together tightly
With lyrical quality, fine rhythm, and dynamic melody

And then to work it all together in combined spirit
To lift hearts and minds to higher plateaus unsplit
By concerns about whether something is commercial
For if it works in the studio, then there will, and shall

Always be lovers of this kind of dedicated musical work
Which makes so many of us accept it for all its fine perks
And then when we get it home to play again and again
We shine and beam from it all, for it's as right as rain ...
