It's yet another day to try and meet a past deadline

Which is pressured today because of all past time

When promises of completion became paramount

Now it seems as though a day late is tantamount



To a breaking of a promise to put all things right

But it's better late and perfect than half out of sight

Which is the way it would have been if day was met

For re-recordings are required for some things not set



Right to begin with ... cables switched and heads cleaned

Now things are really ticking, so better sounds are gleaned

Wish these things had been taken care of, before the start

And then it wouldn't have taken so long, or been so hard ...
