There are levels to follow throughout life

Some can fit you, but others provide strife
The trick is to sort through them all to find
The perfect one for you, and not at all blind

To all of the qualities inherent to your style
Sometimes, people can miss them by miles
Seeing only the minor things they want to see
And dismissing the others, skipping the trees

For the forest - a mix of pines and evergreens
Some of those have grown so tall and clean
So now you see every branch and every leaf
Many of them have more wonder than grief

So take another look at everything in the trees
Who knows? ... maybe you'll spot more to please
And perhaps, you'll even see something quite clever
Perhaps ... it'll even be something at your own level
