Once again, the burner's on the blink

Leaving house as cold as kitchen sink

Don't know whether it's the lack of oil

Or something else which has so foiled



- Up the works, and left me now with no heat

But it's a cruel day to be in this pickle, indeed

Using gas stove and an electric baseboard heater

They'll have to work until things get a little neater



Drafts, though, tend to show up in many places

When there's no oil furnace heat to give chases

To the chills which abound in every small corner

As cold pockets have emerged thruout the morning
