Whilst walking the dog around the block

Something occurred, which gave a shock

Five cars passed me abreast of stop sign

But only two stopped at it, giving mind ...



The other three rushed straight on thru

Not giving any heed to the sign so true

Another thing noticed about those three

They were burning oil, leaving streaks



Of poisonous smoke trails in their midst

Causing both souls to cough hard at this

Dog even spluttered all over the ground

It's a shame people are quite so unbound



In their consideration for others they pass

Not at all sure why they find it such a task

To give heed to signs both on road and car

Changing things, so then they can win stars
