Yesterday was a day set on one side
To remember a man with a good hide
Who brought together millions to walk
Through the nation with a mission tall
To bring awareness of equality thru-out
This country, and all the world, to shout
Out the pain, anguish and long suffering
Which was the inequality then existing
And through his work, we, now, no longer sting
And are better equipped to deal with these things
So we pay homage and quite overdue respect
On the birthday of a man who knew no neglect.
