A hard coating of ice sheathing all the branches
Amazes the eyes and mind and causes lances
Into the heart, and so invigorates with passion
One stops to feel the pleasure, out of fashion
Pulls camera out of store and goes to scene
Taking in the wonders, recorded the beams
Of light reflected off the hard glass outer shell
Took it all in, in order to have it later to jell
Sometime in the future to look back on it all
And marvel at the course of nature so small
Yet magnificent in its turns this way and that
So many wonders come out of nature's vat
The warmth of the air attests to the lure
As the heart cries out with a surety so pure
For this kind of magnificence is so unique
One wonders if it'll ever be able to peak ...
