Silver Dollar

Large silver dollar against an azure plate
Hanging there completely in a solid state
Streams of pink lines against the dry blue
Greys around in a sky painted without you

Counting blessings which overflow my life
As a muralistic canvas is revealed above high
Filled with many dazzling very special effects
A too moving artscape brimming with success

Silver dollar moon, so perfect in its roundness
Clever early morning pilots who make a mess
Of clear blue sky filled with pink from rising sun
As they zoom about, writing things, having their fun

Whilst that large silver dollar looks on from azure
Reflecting on scene in the east where all's not pure
And the purple-pink-blue-grey-white-indigo layers
Cry out to me in their richness, as I stare at the tiers

As the wonder of it all infuses me with its richness
And the beauty I feel inside overwhelms all sadness
As time flows on, lessening the intensity of the pain
And silver dollar skies take over to put me right again.
