There it was - a huge white fluffy ball just hanging there in the clear night sky
So astounding me, momentarily, making me forget there's no more you and I
Casting its reflection in two very far apart places on top surface of the pond
One quite close to me where the perfect ball was mirrored to a perfect song
But the other one was far off and absorbed into rough ripples at the other shore
Where it was magnified a thousand times more than the love for me you bore
And the wonder of it all is the moon was always so much closer in my heart
For reflections such as it provided just now, I'll remember longer than this smart
