So many words mean much to so many
And it comes with spending not a penny
Making us see things to which we connect
Filling our minds with things very complex
Some of it thrills us with good warm feelings
Whilst others say things which send us reeling
Although nothing here is intended to antagonize
It is understandable some can provide a surprise
What interpretations one makes from here reading
Is quite likely to be very different with ears seeing
For the perception each of has is based on stance
Which - without hearing them - gives little chance
To the well-intentioned thought and quite lively flow
Which pours forth from the goodness of a heart shown
Resting upon a sleeve where it is quite proudly worn
Even though awareness of many other people's scorn
Makes one shuffle one's positions from time to time
For fear of insult is always under skin which is primed
By smarting from so many heavy words slung in the past
It is a wonder it continues at all ... but good things do last.
