In Wintery Gales

Oh, how my mind regales
My heart - of all the tales
The stake upon which I impale
As the future now does entail

Involving myself in lusty spells
With pairs of lips who'd just kiss and tell ...
And pride, right now, does stand tall ...
Above the ring of it all ...

And so, my quietness eludes
The pull of these brief interludes ...
Holding out for the magical time
When just one heart alone will be prime

Not only in my mind and soul
But to grow with, as we get old
Loving day-in, and day-out ...
Sharing the song and the clout

... Of rain-soaked sessions in the park
Making love in light and in dark ...
Knowing well there's no stopping the tales
Of Love ... unmasked, by - wintery gales ~

- Tristram
