Two Thousand Tomorrows



Just once, in a lifetime

We may step on a dime

But, all of our lives - we climb

And some - attain the sublime



As for them - two thousand steps

In years, or in other tests ...

Is measure of a life fulfilled ...

By the same potion others chill



But all our tomorrows come ...

Measured in thousands (some)

Just as we have now measured years

Over and above our inept fears
