Chief of Two Shows


On this day in nineteen hundred and twenty-one
President Warren G. Harding brought attention
To the man who'd preceded him eight years before
And appointed him the Chief Justice forever more

Thus, William Howard Taft had two high positions
First - he was the chief executive officer of the nation
And then he was the man who led the Supreme Court
Another chief in a position which could not be bought ...
