We all build walls around us
Some do it without any fuss
Others make it known loudly
Expressing them rather proudly
Telling how we got where we are
In terms of how deeply and how far
It took - to cause us to encircle self
With things we took down from a shelf
But no matter how we build these walls
There will always be corridors and halls
Leading to other rooms with open windows
Out of which we can lean without hindrance
For all rooms have them, along with a door
Which opens in or out - both ways, for sure
Through which we pass one way or t'other
In order to explore new worlds without cover
