Five for Seven

On this day in nineteen hundred and thirty-four
An independent agency was created forevermore
To supervise and regulate broadcasting services
And promote safety of life and property, impervious

Something the FCC* had done well thru the years
But now, in this modern age, computers are feared
Because the very things the Commission regulated
Can now be done anonymously, and not stipluated

As having come from a single solitary source ...
As telephone, radio and television all reports ...
Numbers from which all signals can be traced
But computer users can transmit from any place

So, now the five commissioners who serve for seven
Appointed by the president, have a task unpleasant
Of going after the spoilers who mar the Net for all
By their incessant harassment ... many without call
