The sky which has been so bleak all the day through

Now has taken on a little color - some azure or indigo
And now my stream of heady consciousness does slow
For all of the things which you are now do come and go

And the beauty in my mind folds under slowly as hands
Move around the clock so I must get down from this stand
To walk the dog before the azure sky becomes black and
I once again will no longer be able to see her in the sand

Which trucks have poured all over the roads to prevent slides
From the icy snow flurries which have rained from the skies
As words have poured out of a mind spurred on by the tide
Of time - which has caused me to work so hard on this ride.
