Tall, Dark and Gruesome

The king of horror film roles
Also, will be blowing holes
In the icing of his birthday cake
(It's the fangs which cause the break)

Having given us now some two hundred
In just over fifty years since he appeared
Making approximately four films a year
Consistently, standing others on their ears

For a time he was teamed with yet another fine actor
In the late fifties, and throughout the sixties' reactive
Peter Cushing would often play opposite
But, at times - they'd be partners with it

But now, he's gone, and Lee's on his own
Still making films, and still clearly shone
As a master at interpreting horror roles
But that's okay, as it pays to be type-sold ...
