A unique event transpired seven years ago today

For the second generation fully came into play ...

As Al Unser Junior won his first Indy Five Hundred

A feat, his father, four times in the past - mastered



And, on that day, the senior Al came in at three

Not a bad showing - considering his car seized

But, not only did he sort out the technicalities ...

He actually caught up again ... and racing free
