Snowflakes blow in the wind scattering like dust

As heart triples its beat with the sound of musk
And rain trickles through gutters both out and in
As my mind races with thoughts of you and our sin

For the love in my throbbing heart pounds as a drum
Beats in steady rhythms when we share bodies as one
And the beauty you are, and which exists in your very soul
Envelops me with goodness, keeping me from feeling old

And as I gaze out at the raging blizzard beyond the glass
I wonder if you are thinking of me too, or have you passed
Over the stage of infatuation you had so deeply with me
Making me a past forgotten memory - now you are free ...
