Lasting Impressions



There is beauty deep down in the eyes

An intensity which burned me alive 

A passion which raged well within

As the urgency of the fire reeled me in



You had so many qualities I desired

So many elements for which I aspired

Physical and mental attributes abounded

There were so many - my feet ungrounded



A willingness to involve yourself fully

A heart which reached out and pulled me

Deep within your waiting and loving arms

I nestled so completely in your charms



I wish we were even now still skin to skin

For the beauty you are, was so without sin

- The awakening within me was so very pure

And then you ran away, leaving me unsure ...
