Winter Wonderland



The first great snowfall this year

Has come ... and now the tears

Of joy ... trickle down the cheeks

(It's the welcome reminder we seek)



For no matter how it slows us down

The white blanket all over the town

Has a sort of warming effect inside

Even tho' its cold reality is undenied



And the vision it provides, a pretty sight

Which will be enjoyed ... until the might

Of a predicted warming spell erodes ...

The virgin beauty of the untouched snow
