Diamonds are a Girl's ...

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend"
So the line from the play blends
With a style and environment
Many have rooted in cement

But jewels are not proof of love
Fidelity is a more genuine glove
For honor, loyalty and respect
Take higher place than the aspect

Of a shining jewel set in gold ...
Some remind us of the role
Of the clothes we put on
When vows made us one

Others attest to a deep promise
We felt when heart was strongest
And still others celebrate years
We've stuck together thru tears

And this is the final proof of love
For we've called on God above
To help us through all tribulations
Some we resolved with stipulations

But no matter what jewels we adorn
To show the facade of our love storms
The best jewels we can possibly use
Are our brains and bodies - to choose
